The most important forum for scientific stone conservation is „The International Congress on the Deterioration and Conservation of Stone“. The first congress was held in La Rochelle in 1972, and then Athens (1976), Venice (1979 and 2000), Louisville (1982), Lausanne (1985), Torun (1988 and 2008), Lisbon (1992), Berlin (1996), Stockholm (2004), New York (2012) and finally Glasgow (2016).
From September the 7th till September the 12th 2020 the 14th International Congress on the Deterioration and Conservation of Stone will take place in Göttingen/Germany. The congress website is now online: http://stone2020.uni-goettingen.de/
Organizers are the University of Göttingen and the University of Kassel, represented by Prof. Dr. Siegesmund and Prof. Dr. Middendorf. We too will actively participate in the congress.
